The Time of My Life

By Cecelia Ahern. When I got this book I did not know what to expect even after reading the brief intro on the back. It turned out to be a nice little surprise.

Now I'll be honest I am not a chic lit kind of person but I always try not to judge a book by it's cover. I had a choice of four books and ended up deciding to read this one. The lesser of the evils? I am happy with my choice though. I enjoyed reading it.

I found it an interesting concept, to meet up with your life. Lucy is caught up in a lie and everything she does just has her going even deeper. On the surface however she says she is fine. Her life though has something else to say about it.

A lot of people say they are fine, nothing is wrong and there is nothing to worry about. However this makes it hard for people who genuinely care and want to help. At the start you get to know Lucy and quickly realize that there are lies almost to her every action. Her life is here to fix that.

There were some funny moments, cringe worthy moments and then some crying. You love some characters, hate others and forget others. Lucy finally grows and faces things head on and is on the road to recovery if you can call it that. She had an interesting family and friends.

This was the first book I read from this author. I realized she is the author of P.S I Love You,  now my to read list just gets longer.

I recommend. Four stars!
