The theatrical production presented by Global Creatures. I enjoyed it very much. I have heard the story, watched the film and seen adaptations of it but it was a different experience in the theatre.
I did not know quite what to expect but all the same I was very excited. It had already been out for months when I went to watch it with some friends. For me King Kong is one of those tragic love stories that is timeless. The cast was amazing right from the start they had you pulled in and at the edge of your seat. The graphics, puppetry and choreography were also amazing.
The way it was portrayed I guess you could say it was a nice spin to the story. There was a lot of good singing right from the start. I enjoyed Full Moon Lullaby being sang by Ann to King Kong. The beauty that tamed the beast. I want to write more but I guess this is one of those where seeing it for yourself is way better than being told.
Before I watched it I was annoyed to no end by people who just said it was good but then did not even mention a favorite part or aspect or maybe warn you how good it was. Some people cried during the show when I went I hope someone had warned them they might. So beforehand I had figured it's just so good you wont even be able to speak about it. Now I know who not to ask for reviews or recommendations.
If you get the chance go and watch it or at least watch the movie if you have not already. I recommend it five stars!
