Oh Darling do behave!

By Tania Materazzo Rann. I was just browsing a book store on my lunch break looking for a bit of a different read when I came across this one.

What I liked first about it was the statement 'MANNERS - the ultimate fashion accessory' on the front. I agree. I am sure if I asked people what they thought the ultimate accessory was, manners would not be on the list or may be the very last feature. No matter how stunning you look or think you are, lacking in common courtesy distracts from it all. So i decided to give it a go. It looked like a short and fun read.

This it turned out to be. I normally completely skip the contents page of a book the first time I read it mostly because I am more interested in the story. I just check for a prologue if none, chapter 1 here I come. This is what I also did with this book and there are no regrets.I was excited to find out what was next at the turn of the page. It was an easy read that I finished in one sitting.

I loved the quotes placed in there right from the start and the whole dialogue of the book I could relate to some. A quote I could tag some people to was 'I call everyone "Darling" because I can't remember their names.' from  Zsa Zsa Gabor. My first thought was the secret is out! So even though you've seen me twice a week for 3 years you still don't remember my name? Crushed. Not.

There are some handy tips and reminders on how to conduct oneself in a variety of situations. If you read the summary at back of the book it gives you a taste at these varied occasions. Read the contents page and you have yourself a handy reference be it work, travel, babies and around the house. There is something for everyone.

I would recommend this book especially to people who have trouble remembering names? The next time I meet you, I'll tell you my name and every time after that until you call me by it. I give it four stars.
