Time

There are so many expressions about time which show exactly how people feel about time. This feeling is not static. It changes with circumstance and maybe place. A point of view.

Time is of the essence. I heard songs say time is unkind, some people say time is money. Some have so much to do and so little time. Just like there is so much to say about time and no enough time for it all. Yet others have all the time in the world.

I can hardly imagine what the world would be like if we could get time the way it means most to us. Chaos probably will ensue. The sun will not set for others and for some it will not rise. Yay no going to work because the weekend will never be over! Right?

There will be literal meaning to the dark side. I wonder for those where the sun won't set, will they go to sleep? What kind of calendar would there be?

Regardless, time goes on. Time waits for no man. So some go and try to control it. Time machine anyone? Most want to manage it. Probably going well for some since there are books and even classes on how to manage time.Yeah we all know I probably need to sign up for one of those....

How we view time is driven by what is most important to us right now. Whether we realize it has slipped through our grasp and we are with regrets. Or the time is now and this moment we never want to end.

It will end but we still get to decide how to spend every second of it. It's about time we realized we are what we are today because of it. Time. Just thought to add some quotes on time:

“There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want.”
― Bill Watterson

“You may delay, but time will not.”
― Benjamin Franklin

“Unfortunately, the clock is ticking, the hours are going by. The past increases, the future recedes. Possibilities decreasing, regrets mounting.”
― Haruki Murakami, Dance Dance Dance

“Time is what keeps everything from happening at once.”
― Ray Cummings, The Girl in the Golden Atom

“It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.”
― Rose Kennedy

“Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.”
― Marthe Troly-Curtin, Phrynette Married
